Biography
The German-Russian soprano Anastasiya Taratorkina won the first prize and the audience prize at the 70th International ARD Music Competition in Munich.
Since the 2022/23 season, Anastasiya has been a member of the ensemble at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, where she has appeared in the title role of the world premiere of “Oryx and Crake” by S. N. Eichberg, as Gilda (Rigoletto), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Marzelline (Fidelio), Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Ännchen (Der Freischütz), and Nannetta (Falstaff) with great success.
Further guest engagements have taken her to renowned opera houses such as Oper Frankfurt (Susanna), Opernhaus Zürich (Valencienne), Theater Bonn (Gilda), and Semperoper Dresden, where she made an acclaimed house debut as Euridice in Monteverdi’s *L’Orfeo* with Rolando Villazón as her partner, accompanied by the Lautten Compagney Berlin.
In addition to opera, Anastasiya has a passion for chamber music. Together with ARD prizewinners, she toured southern Germany, performing songs by Clara Schumann, Poulenc, Fauré, and Debussy. She has performed at the Mozartfest Würzburg, the Schwarzwald Musikfestival, and Studio 2 of the Bayerischer Rundfunk.
Anastasiya has worked with renowned conductors and directors such as Alan Gilbert, Matthias Foremny, Radoslaw Szulc, Antonello Allemandi, Michael Güttler, Heiko Mathias Förster, Johannes Klumpp, Konrad Junghänel, Will Humburg, Wolfgang Katschner, Nikolaus Habjan, Daniela Kerck, and Evelyn Herlitzius.
As a soloist, she has performed an extensive repertoire with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Collegium Musicum Basel, the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Wiesbaden State Theatre, and the Prague Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Her performances have taken place in renowned concert halls such as the Tonhalle Zurich, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, and the Stadtcasino Basel, and she has also delighted audiences with sparkling Baroque arias in the Frauenkirche Dresden and the Kurhaus Wiesbaden.
Future engagements include debuts as Adele (Die Fledermaus), Œnone (Phèdre) by Lemoyne at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, where she is engaged from the 2024/25 season, and Valencienne (Die lustige Witwe) at the Opernhaus Zürich, Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier) at the Aalto Musiktheater Essen and Soprano (Carmina Burana) at the Schwarzwald Musikfestival, among others.
Anastasiya studied with Prof. Olga Egudina at the Glinka Conservatory in Novosibirsk and with Prof. Hendrikje Wangemann at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden.
